New roadmap for developing workforce digital skills
This new report from FutureDotNow is a detailed analysis of the workforce digital skills gap. It finds that the UK could lose an estimated £145 billion in GDP growth between 2018-2028 due to inadequate digital skills. The roadmap highlights three clear areas for action, from the need for a national government strategy to a call for collective culture change.

It contains lots of handy statistics for funding bids and business cases to work with third sector organisations. It finds that over three quarters of charities saw digital as a growing priority. But almost half urgently need funds for devices, software and infrastructure.

According to the new research by Virgin Media O2, low-income families expect to spend an extra £27 during the period. It works with community groups, local charities, libraries, social enterprises, housing associations and more to distribute free data and devices and to build digital skills and confidence.
