Evidence sessions on digital inclusion and the cost of living available online

In April and May, the House of Lords held four evidence sessions for its inquiry on digital inclusion and the cost of living. You can watch back now, including evidence from speakers like Liz Williams, CEO at FutureDotNow, and Hugo Drayton, Chair of Trustees at Citizens Online.

New version of Learn My Way launched

Learn My Way is a free platform for digital learning, providing digital skills and increasing digital confidence. Good Things Foundation has relaunched the platform. The new version allows users to tailor their own programme, offers bitesize topics and is accessible on multiple devices.

‘Senior skills programme’ in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester and London

AbilityNet and BT Group are partnering on a series of digital skills workshops and training sessions for older people in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester and London. 4000 people aged 65+ will take part in the project throughout 2023.

New report on internet access as essential utility and human right

This new report argues that internet access should be seen as an essential utility and a human right, from Data Poverty Lab Fellow, Shade Nathaniel-Ayodele. The report draws on discussions with people with lived experience of data poverty, and includes lots of useful statistics on the impacts of the cost of living crisis.

Map of over 1400 Digital Inclusion Hubs across the UK

Good Things Foundation has mapped 1400 digital inclusion hubs across the UK, which are providing data, devices and digital skills training. The map gives information on what each hub provides and how to find out more about them. All are members of the National Digital Inclusion Network.
