Minutes from government meetings on digital inclusion published
If you want to know what the government’s Digital Inclusion Action Committee has been up to, the group has published notes from its first three meetings, which took place last year. The committee has discussed everything from its work on digital ID to how to support future work on AI.
Gov.ukFunding for new ‘tech rescue’ hubs
A new initiative is funding organisations in the UK to help tackle the country’s growing electronic waste crisis. Launched by digital inclusion charity Good Things Foundation and the National Lottery Community Fund, the three year programme will establish 12 ‘Tech Rescue - Climate Action Hubs’, training local people in repair skills and redistributing refurbished devices. Applications close 12th June, and the grant value is £35,000.

Digital NottsDigital inclusion grants for young entrepreneurs in Yorkshire
The broadband provider Quickline is offering digital inclusion grants of up to £1,000 to young entrepreneurs aged 16 to 29 who live in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The two-year partnership with the John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank is designed to help remove digital barriers, enabling young people to start, sustain and grow businesses.
