Tech Rescue: New project scaling device re-use in communities
Good Things Foundation, alongside the University of Liverpool, and Material Focus, has launched Tech Rescue, a three-year project designed to build community-led infrastructure for tech reuse across the UK. Age UK has published a new report focused on the spectrum of online access among older people in the UK. The report includes multiple recommendations. Broadcasters, for example, should not be allowed to shift to internet-only TV until access solutions have been found. And the government should legislate to protect access to face-to-face banking, it says.

Five organisations have been celebrated at the 2026 UK Digital Inclusion Awards, held by the Digital Poverty Alliance. Winners include Red Chair Highland from Inverness, which was recognised for its work to raise awareness, and the Powys Teaching Health Board for its work developing digital skills.
