State of Digital Inclusion in the UK - New Report
The Digital Inclusion All Party Parliamentary Group launched its fourth State of the Nation Report this month, based on the group’s work over the last year. The report tracks government progress against the APPG’s previous recommendations, such as increasing provision of internet in public spaces. It also provides new recommendations and case studies from across the country.

The Treasury department has launched a new strategy outlining next steps for financial inclusion in the UK. In a section on digital inclusion, the Treasury highlights measures to ensure that face-to-face banking remains available, such as the creation of banking hubs in Post Office branches. It also outlines steps to ensure that more people have the devices and skills to access banking online.
Gov.ukGood Things Foundation launches new project to embed digital inclusion in local authorities
Good Things Foundation has set up a consortium with three local authorities and community partners to develop a digital inclusion blueprint. Funded by the government’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, the pilot involves the co-creation of national insights and tools - including a freely accessible framework that can be used by local authorities and community partners.
